Henrik Ohlsson is an assistant professor at the Division of Control & Communication Systems at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Linköping University. He received his MSc in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering (Y) 2006 and defended his licentiate thesis entitled Regression on Manifolds with Implications for System Identification in the December 2008. During fall 2009 Henrik visited Carl Edward Rasmussen at University of Cambridge. Henrik defended his PhD thesis entitled Regularization for Sparseness and Smoothness - Applications in System Identification and Signal Processing in November 2010. Henrik's research interests are mainly within the areas of system identification and machine learning. Henrik is partially supported by the Swedish foundation for strategic research in the center MOVIII and by the Swedish Research Council in the Linnaeus center CADICS. Henrik is under the supervision of Professor Lennart Ljung.
Henrik is currently a visiting scholar at University of California, Berkeley. He is supported by a grant from the Sweden-America foundation and a grant from the Swedish Research Council (VR).
