ISIS is organized as a separate budget unit within the School of Engineering at Linköping University (LiTH). The people employed within ISIS will have the University as the employer, and the Department of Electrical Engineering or the Department of Computer Science as their administrative unit.
ISIS is governed by a Board, formally under the Board of the School of Engineering (LiTH:s styrelse). The executive leadership is exercised by a General Manager, who currently is Lennart Ljung.
