Research Interests

My current research efforts aim at a better understanding of index reduction and numerical solution of differential-algebraic equations. Unstructured uncertainty in the leading matrix of a differential-algebraic equation leads to the study of matrix-valued singular perturbation. Besides the mathematics of differential-algebraic equations, I am also interested in computer implementation of all kinds of mathematical theory, including coordinate-free algorithms and interval arithmetic linear algebra.

As a PhD student, my research was supervised by Torkel Glad, since 1988 professor of nonlinear control systems.
