Background

I successfully defended my thesis, Modeling and Diagnosis of Friction and Wear in Industrial Robots, on September 26 2014 at the Division of Automatic Control at the Department of Electrical Engineering at Linköping University.

Research

My PhD thesis is on friction and wear diagnostics of industrial robots. The work is conducted in a close collaboration with ABB through the VINNOVA excelence center LINK-SIC. The main objective is to develop methods to determine the mechanical condition of the robot using available sensory information. Data-driven as well as model-based methods have been considered for the task.

My thesis is now available for download.

The work is in the intersection of 3 main areas, namely robotics, tribology and diagnostics. Visit the research page for an overview of the research topics and the publications page for a selected (and full) list of publications.

Teaching

As a PhD student at Automatic Control, I dedicate 25% of time to teaching. I have been involved in courses in control related areas, such as TSRT06, TSIU61, TSRT19 and TSRT10.

I have also supervised a number of MSc. thesis, visit the teaching page for a full list.

Personal interests

I also enjoy my time in a number of outdoor activities, visit the personal interests section for details.
